I feel GREAT! I'm excited and nervous (in a good way) about the changes that will happen within the year. After travelling I'm thinking about moving out of Seattle and taking on a new career. Not sure exactly which one yet, but I'll have the next few months to find out what I'm really passionate about.

So as for the plan of now, I'll be meeting up with Trica, Josh, and Tye in Geneva and we'll travel thru Switzerland for a while. Josh and Tye will fly out of Paris, so the four of us will spend a few days there. Then Tricia and I will make our way to Prague and meet up with Cleo. The three of us will spend a few days there then head to Munich for Oktoberfest. After Cleo leaves us, we'll travel to other places in Europe...not sure where or for how long, but I guess that's what it's like when you don't have a definite timeline. Thailand is a far stretch, but still an appealing idea. I'll be spending the next 4 weeks making myself mobile. I'm super excited for change and to be making things happen as I wish so.

Traveling is addicting

I woke up to a phone call this morning from a friend who had just purchased a ticket to Europe. Her and I are planning to go to Prague and then Munich for Oktoberfest. She only has 9 days in Europe, so it'll just be a quick trip. Its quite out of the way from Greece, where Katrina and Tricia may or may not be, but I have other friends who will be in Sweden from early to mid-Sept. So, my trip itinerary is constantly changing. As of right now, my plan is to fly into London, then to Stockholm, train to Prague and Munich, then fly to Greece. From there on we'll do Egypt, Morocco, and Spain. By then I should be well spent, not in energy but in money. If not, Tricia and I may head over to Thailand, but thats a pretty far stretch for us.

Ahhh...the endless possibilities of a mobile life...

First thing is first

I purchased my one-way ticket to London a couple weeks ago. I leave Seattle on Sept 7 for NY. Hopefully my friend James will still be there so I can stay with him for three nights. My non-refundable ticket to London leaves NY on Sept 10. I'm not sure where Katrina and Tricia will be at that point, so I figure London will be an easy/cheap place to fly out of once I get there.

So here's the tentative plan: Tricia and Katrina leave for Santorini, Greece, on June 26. They have an apartment set up and a job at a Mexican restaurant. Unless things go terribly bad, they'll live and work there for about 3-4 months. That'll be just about the same time I'll show up. We'll travel through Crete, Egypt, and Morocco for no more than a couple weeks at a time then eventually head to Spain where we'll be for a longer duration. After that is questionable. Tricia and I have thought about going to Thailand for an extended period of time since she has a friend who could help us find a place to stay and possibly get a job. I also have a friend, Dustin, who will be in Thailand around mid-December. It has been my dream to go rock climbing in Thailand ever since I started taking my climbing course through the Mountaineers. Dustin is experienced in climbing and I'm trying to get Tricia into it, so it'd be perfect for us to be there together. The other option is to either travel more of Europe (ie. France, Italy, Ireland, Sweden, etc.), or go home.

As for now, I'm going to make the most of my summer here in Seattle, where I believe is the best place to be during the summertime. I have some glacier and rock climbing trips set up and I'm looking for as many opportunities to climb as my body can handle. I'll also work on selling my stuff and making myself mobile. This is what you can do when you're young, single, and have no obligations. Life is beautiful!
